Bourbon Bacon Brunch

Ingredients:

14 Fl. Oz. Bourbon Whiskey

4 mL. Pure maple syrup

2 Oz. Apple cider

1 Oz. Ginger beer

Candied bacon

Mini waffles

Directions:

  1. Stir all the ingredients together in a glass filled with ice.
  2. Garnish with thick cut candied Farmland bacon.
  3. Cook the bacon on the rack at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
  4. Rub with cayenne pepper, brown sugar, and maple syrup and bake for another 5-10 minutes in oven.
  5. Slit mini waffle and toast until golden brown.
  6. Place on side of glass. Serve. 

 

 

The Bacon Jalapeno Margarita 

Ingredients:

6 slices Farmland Bacon

2 Whole limes

2 Oz. Tequila

½ Oz. Orange flavored Liqueur

½ OZ. Bacon flavored syrup

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F. Place foil line tray with Farmland bacon into the oven, bake until crisp 16-18 minutes.
  2. When bacon is cool, chop into bacon bits. Nice small size to properly “salt rim” margarita glasses.
  3. Combine bacon bits with salt and sugar and place into container.
  4. Juice one of the limes, measuring out 1 Oz lime and set aside.
  5. Cut the other lime into wedges and rim the entire margarita glass.
  6. Place the rim of the margarita glass into the bacon bits, repeating pressing into bacon bits until the glass is covered.
  7. Combine last 4 ingredients blend with ice in blender. Pour margarita into the bacon rimmed glasses.
  8. Garnish with the lime wedge

 

The Bacon Old Fashioned

Ingredients:

4 slices cooked Farmland Bacon

4 Oz. bourbon.

1 Tbsp. maple syrup

Orange bitters

Ice cubes, to serve

Orange twists, to serve

Directions:

  1. In a small shallow dish, place Farmland Bacon.
  2. Pour bourbon into the dish.
  3. Cover and chill 30 minutes (or longer, if time permits).
  4. Strain and reserve the bourbon and Bacon.
  5. In a small jug, combine the bourbon, maple syrup and bitters.
  6. Pour over ice and serve with orange twists and cooked bacon. (Makes about ½ cup)

 

Bacon Bloody Mary

serves up to 6

Ingredients:

6 slices Farmland Bacon

3 ¼ cups Bloody Mary mix

1 ¼ cups vodka

6 stalks of celery with leaves

 

Directions:

  1. Cook the Farmland Bacon in a large skillet over medium heat, turning occasionally, until golden brown and crisp, 9 to 11 minutes. Drain on paper towels. 
  2. Meanwhile combine the Bloody Mary mix and vodka. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
  3. Pour the Bloody Mary mixture into 6 large ice-filled glasses. Add a piece of bacon and celery stalk to each.
