Fall is the perfect season for bacon (well, really, ALL seasons are perfect for bacon). It’s also the perfect season for campfires. Therefore, we conclude that Fall is the perfect season to use bacon to start a campfire.

 

Here’s how it works:

Make bacon.
Fill a paper cup with paper towels and pour your bacon grease over the paper towels, soaking them. Keep one corner of the paper towel sticking out to act as a wick.
Use it immediately or put it in the freezer until your next bonfire.
Light the bacon greased paper towels and watch your blazing campfire roar to life.
Eat bacon, or s’mores, or bacon s’mores [link] by the fireside.
